My Favorite Locations in The North Bay!

I have put together a list of locations perfect for your next portrait session in the North Bay.  If you haven’t been keeping up with the blog, no big deal.  But…I’ve been putting together lists of wondering locations all around the Bay Area. You can check out that blog post here.  There’s also a post about San Francisco, the East Bay, and the Peninsula.

Where will your next session be? Here are five fantastic locations for you to consider.

Rodeo Beach

Such a beautiful and not too crowded location.  The beach is great because of the cliffs and giant rocks that surround it. Bring your kid’s rain boots or simply full up their pants to plan around in the shallow grassy pools.

Oak Hill Park

This one looks like a very simple park, but it has a whole lot to offer.  There are lots of little nooks and crannies in this park that beautiful light and beautiful backdrops.  Also, if you love photos in an open grassy field, this perfect.  There is a playground here.  Sometimes playgrounds act as a great source of motivation, or it can be a distraction (this goes for every playground, not just this one).  Just know which one it is to your child, and choose accordingly.

Hal Brown Park at Creekside

This park in Greenbrae is great for older kids.  There’s a large grassy area, trees, and a cool park.  If you go early in the morning you can get Mount Tam in the backdrop of your photos.  The later in the day, the mountain can get a bit too bright for photos.  Bring a baseball and a mitt for fun actual shots,

China Camp State Park

Another location that I have never photographed, but I think would be a great one for family photos.  This location is best in the morning and afternoon.  Let’s try to avoid midday.  Not only is it a great beach, but there is a beautiful dock and a cool little shop that scream beach store.  So what do you say?  Do you want to be my first family to have a session at China Camp State Park?

Marin Arts and Garden Center

One lovely location!  This place has tons of beautiful trees and plants.  But that’s par for the course for a garden.  I love the small knocks and cronies in this park.  I have only photographed a wedding here but I would love to photograph families here as well.  This is a pretty popular wedding venue.  Check with the center first to make sure there is space available for the session.

Chances are we’ve never worked together.  And that’s okay.

My sessions are kept fun and light.  I’m not going to be in your face changing the angle of your chin every 5 seconds.  I love capturing natural smiles and actions.  Find out a little more about what it’s like to have your next family portrait session with K. Sienk Photography.

But don’t just take my word.  Hear what others have said about working with me!
